About the Company
Our client is a large eco-farm specialising in the ethical, environmentally friendly rearing of poultry in the Chippenham area (UK).
Due to production expansion, the farm is looking to hire a team of workers for long-term, stable employment.
This is an official, long-term role at a modern farm where every employee is valued.
The farm operates under Soil Association oversight and follows EU organic standards for production, hygiene, and biosecurity.
In addition to poultry, the farm produces its own organic mayonnaise made from whole organic eggs and natural ingredients — with no sugar, artificial additives, or chemical preservatives.
The farm’s products are supplied to major UK retailers and foodservice outlets that support the organic sector.
Role Description
We are seeking responsible, hardworking, and reliable team members.
The role covers the full poultry care cycle — from feeding and egg collection to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
No prior experience is required — full on-site training and continuous support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily poultry care: feeding, watering, monitoring health and climate control
• Egg collection, grading, and packing
• Maintaining farm hygiene and biosecurity standards
• Washing buildings, equipment, and tools using high-pressure washers
• Cleaning and maintaining outdoor/work areas
• Using tablets/scanners for basic record-keeping
• Following farm H&S and biosecurity procedures
• Performing other general farm duties as needed
Training & Support
• Full on-site training
• Instruction on biosecurity and equipment use
• Ongoing support from experienced staff
Candidate Requirements
• Legal right to work in the UK (mandatory)
• Physical fitness; readiness to work in warm, humid, or variable conditions
• Responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends
An advantage (not essential):
• Experience with animals or in agriculture
Accommodation
• Free, comfortable on-farm housing
• Amenities provided: kitchen, shower, heating, washing machine
What We Offer
• Official, stable full-time employment
• Competitive hourly pay with potential increases
• Free accommodation
• Full support throughout recruitment and onboarding
• Long-term career opportunities in the agricultural sector
If you want to work at a modern, eco-friendly farm that values hard work, responsibility, and team spirit, please send your CV to info@jobstaff.uk
