Summary

Thorn Baker Construction are looking for an Appointed Person to join a refurbishment project in Marlborough, Wiltshire. This is a great opportunity for reliable and skilled tradespeople to work on a high-profile project, call Richard on 07971865321 if interested.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate lifting operations in compliance with LOLER regulations and company procedures.

  
  

• Prepare detailed lifting plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

  
  

• Liaise with crane operators, riggers, and site managers to ensure safe and effective lifting operations.

  
  

• Conduct site inspections and ensure all lifting equipment is certified and used correctly.

  
  

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lifting regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

  
  Requirements:

  • Valid Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) certification (e.g., CPCS A61 or equivalent).

    
    

  • Proven experience in managing complex lifting operations.

    
    

  • Sound understanding of LOLER, PUWER, and Health & Safety regulations.

    
    

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

    
    

  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a dynamic site environment.
