Summary
Leo's Den Nursery is a 64 capacity nursery school catering for babies and children from 4 months to 4 years old. We are in SE1 and are close to Borough and London Bridge stations.
We are looking for locally based candidates to join our Apprenticeship programme. The qualification you will work towards is either an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator. The programme is usually 18 months in length and will be conducted by our training provider Hawk Training.
You might be a school leaver looking for an other option to 6th Form for your education, or already have completed your studies and are looking to undertake an apprenticeship to receive more formal qualifications and training.
Depending on your GCSE's we can offer either a Level 2 or Level 3 apprenticeship on site at our nursery, and you will be paid while you undertake your work/training.
You role will include tasks such as:
- helping with the daily learning programme of the children
- assisting with meal service throughout the day
- taking the children into our garden or to the park for play activities
- helping create play/education tasks as part of our daily and weekly plan
- maintaining a safe environment for the children
The role is for those looking for a long term career in early years education, and will lead to a full time job. Our opening hours are from 7.30am to 6.45pm, Monday to Friday, and you will need to be able to do any 7-8 hours shift within those working hours.
We do pay above the minimum apprenticeship rate, and the wage will be dependant on your skills and experience.
