Join Our Neurology Therapy Team!



We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Neurology Therapy Team on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician with a strong interest in neurology, working across both inpatient, outpatient and community settings. You will play a key role in providing high-quality care to patients with neurological conditions, helping to improve their independence and quality of life.



Applicants should have post-graduate experience working with people living with neurological conditions, an awareness of complex assessment and patient-centered rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a professional and compassionate manner, are essential.



You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills and knowledge, operational awareness, service improvement and leadership skills. We have an established program of clinical and managerial supervision, and we will expect the successful candidate to be proactive in their approach to professional and service development. You will have the opportunity to attend relevant training courses and conferences and take a lead on projects and service development. Training and peer support is available from an experienced, supportive multi-disciplinary team.






• Work as an autonomous practitioner across a variety of settings, supporting a caseload patients with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Functional Neurological Disorder, Parkinson's Disease and other neurological disorders.
• To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with diverse or complex/multi pathology presentations.
• To formulate and deliver an individual goal orientated treatment programme, based on specialist knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options.
• To provide training and advice on changes and adaptations to the patient’s lifestyle considering the environmental, emotional, physical, spiritual and social needs.
• To address occupational performance and skills deficits enabling the patient in areas of self- maintenance, productivity, education, and leisure.
• Close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including consultants, physiotherapists and nurses, to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to clinical audits and research initiatives.
• Contribute to service and professional development, support student practice placements and supervise colleagues within the services.
• Provide specialist advice and training to other teams within the trust.
