We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the Andover, Romsey, Stockbridge, Tidworth, Durrington, and surrounding villages
The ideal person would play a vital role within our team, delivering quality care you would expect your loved on to receive.
Experience is desired but not essential - a commitment and passion for doing the right thing for the person you support is essential, with a real passion and effective self management to make a difference to peoples lives while enjoying and loving your job
Responsibilities
Deliver personalised care to clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, focusing on dementia care and other specific requirements.
Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to client care.
Experience
Previous experience in a support worker or similar role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of patient care techniques and best practices in senior care settings is advantageous.
Familiarity with dementia care principles and behaviour management strategies is preferred.
A caring attitude and the ability to empathise with clients from diverse backgrounds are essential qualities for this role.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members alike.
