We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected children’s residential care provider for an experienced and passionate Children’s Home Manager to oversee a beautiful new home in Burnley.
The home will accommodate up to five children and young people aged 8–17, offering a warm, stable, and therapeutic environment. It includes a dedicated therapy room to support emotional wellbeing and provide on-site therapeutic interventions.
The Role
As the Registered Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it delivers the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations. You’ll lead a committed staff team, create a positive and nurturing culture, and ensure that every young person receives tailored support to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and motivate a team of residential care professionals.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations.
Oversee individualised care plans, safeguarding, and behaviour management.
Promote therapeutic, trauma-informed care practices.
Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance.
Work collaboratively with families, local authorities, and external agencies.
Candidate Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
At least 2 years’ experience in a managerial or deputy role within a children’s residential setting.
Strong understanding of Ofsted standards and best practice in therapeutic childcare.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
