An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a fantastic practice in the heart of Derbyshire. This state-of-the-art hospital is fully equipped with seven consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, three sterile theatres, dedicated diagnostic suites, dental facilities, digital x-ray, and even two staff rooms designed to support team wellbeing. The practice is committed to clinical excellence, patient care, and providing an environment where every team member can learn, develop, and flourish.

You’ll be joining a large, dynamic, and supportive team of ten vets including certificate holders and vets working towards further qualifications in dermatology, surgery, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and ophthalmology alongside a dedicated head nurse, twelve skilled nurses, and five friendly receptionists. Collaboration and mentorship are at the heart of the practice, with regular clinical discussions and case reviews to ensure both professional growth and the highest standards of care.

The role offers an engaging mix of consulting and surgical work, giving you the chance to deliver exceptional care to both patients and clients while developing your own clinical interests. You’ll play an active role in mentoring colleagues, supporting nurse consultations, and contributing to the practice’s progressive clinical culture.
