Summary
Location: Brecon & Ystradgynlais
About the role:
You will be the visible presence on the Council’s Housing Estates. You will help to improve and maintain the quality of our estates by working in partnership with the rest of the Housing team and you will lead on applying our ‘Love Where You Live’ policy. You will contribute to the effective property management of temporary accommodation provided by the Council.
About you:
• Able to work effectively on your own.
• Must be well organised and practical.
• Excellent people skills.
• Confident and able to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must have a current drivers licence.
What you will do:
• Monitor, improve & deal with improving the standards of tidiness on our estates which will include litter collection, grounds maintenance and dealing with fly tipping.
• Check & carry out any minor work required to external and internal communal areas to make sure that they are safe and comply with health & safety regulations.
• Support with the rapid cleaning and minor works on our temporary
accommodation.
• Educate and support tenants & residents to keep the estates clean & tidy.
• Support community engagement events.
• Check the security of empty properties on the estates.
• Work closely with the rest of the Housing team.
