Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Your Role

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting pupils with SEN and SEMH needs, including those on ECHP’s, through 1-1 and small group interventions
• Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and preparing resources to meet individual needs
• Help implement strategies to develop social, emotional and behavioural skills
• Support personal care and daily routines as required in a dignified manner
• Monitor pupils progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SEN team

Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant: Candidate Specification

KPi Education are seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who:

• Holds a 2:1 or above degree in Psychology, Child Development, English or related field
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
• Understands SEN and SEMH principals and can tailor interventions to individual pupils
• Confident supporting pupils with physical disabilities and complex learning needs
• Is enthusiastic, patient, and proactive with excellent communication skills
