Summary

Caretaker – White Rose Primary School
Required from: As soon as possible (Pending pre-employment and safeguarding checks)
Contract: Permanent / 32.5 hours a week/split shift working pattern

(7am-10am & 2.20pm-6pm)
Salary: NJC Grade 3 £22,121.96 pro rata (FTE £25,185)


White Rose Primary School is situated in the well-established community of New Tredegar. The school is within easy travelling distance of Cardiff, Newport and the Heads of the Valley. Applications are invited from reasonable, reliable and flexible people for the post of Caretaker of this happy, friendly and forward thinking primary school, located within New Tredegar.



Governors are committed to appointing a Caretaker with the following skills who is:



Self-motivated, enthusiastic and has the ability and initiative to deal with day to day issues that could arise on a large school site.
Practical skills, with the ability to carry out general maintenance with pride and high quality work.
Ability to work independently.
Good people skills with adults and children to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for the school community.



The successful candidate will be a key holder with responsibility for attending the school site at unsocial hours or weekends to deal with emergency repairs, maintenance or security issues.
