Join our L&Q Living Agency Contracts Team at L&Q:

Are you an experienced housing management professional with a passion for supporting vulnerable people?
Are you at a point in your career where you’re ready to step away from direct service delivery and instead focus on building strong partnerships and ensuring high-quality housing management services delivered by our partner agencies?
Would you like to be part of a team where 85% of staff say it’s a great place to work?

If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, we might have just the job for you.

The L&Q Living Agency Contracts & Quality Team work with specialist organisations who have been commissioned to deliver care and/or support to vulnerable people in our communities. L&Q contracts with them to deliver the housing management function in our buildings, providing a holistic service to our most vulnerable residents.

As an Agency Contracts & Quality Officer, you will play a key role in managing contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance to safeguard our residents’ well-being.

Your impact in the role:

Contract and Quality Management: You will act as the principal point of contact for a portfolio of agencies. You will chair liaison meetings with their contacts. You will also visit the schemes to carry out inspections to ensure housing and maintenance services meet quality standards. You will also carry out audits to ensure the agency is compliant with contractual, health & safety, and regulatory requirements. Full training will be provided.
Risk and Performance Monitoring: Adopt a risk management approach to contract oversight by assessing agencies annually, addressing underperformance with action plans, and analysing statistical returns to identify trends and drive service improvements.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with internal teams, agencies, and external stakeholders, while working closely with property services to maintain and improve buildings in compliance with statutory requirements.
Strategic Responsibilities: Contribute to the Agency Managed Strategy by collaborating with local authorities on their future supported housing needs. This will also involve working with stakeholders on closing or remodelling existing schemes that are no longer fit for purpose.
What you'll bring:

Contract and Housing Management Experience: Demonstrable experience in housing management, either general needs or supported housing.
Risk Awareness: Solid understanding of risks associated with failing to deliver an effective housing management service and actions needed to mitigate any identified risks.
Communication and Negotiation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders and address complex issues.
Organisational and Analytical Skills: Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks effectively in challenging environments.
MS Office Proficiency: Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications to maintain accurate records and deliver operational excellence.
