Summary

Training Support Administrator

Fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027

Full-time role - 37.5 hours a week

HMS Collingwood, Portsmouth

up to £28,000 depending on experience

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Working within a team looking at Operational Modernisation of training in the Royal Navy you will help keep training courses and resources up to date in the system, making sure they match approved Defence training standards. The Operational Modernisation team is responsible for looking at the modernisation of the databases used to plan & schedule lessons for RN training.

What you'll be doing

• Create, update, and schedule course templates in TAFMIS
• Meet with instructors to map classrooms to be built into the training systems
• Timetable courses and manage resource allocation to ensure training runs smoothly and meets requirements.
• Maintain consistent resource structures within TAFMIS to support uniform training delivery.
• Produce course timetables for automatic upload to the Selborne SharePoint Business Information Portal.
• Occasional travel to other sites to meet with Instructors

What we're looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Demonstrable proficiency in using IT including strong Excel skills
• Good Administration skills
• Experience of using, storing, managing data etc

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Experience of Training Planning, support processes and systems.
• An understanding of TAFMIS applications and their synergies in the planning process.
• Knowledge of JPA.
