Summary

About the role Applications are invited for the post of Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor in Inflammation (clinical or non-clinical) to join the Centre for Inflammatory Disease, Department of Immunology and Inflammation within the Faculty of Medicine. You will be offered exciting academic opportunities within an integrated and supportive environment and will contribute to the academic mission of the Department and of Imperial College London to deliver world-class research, education and scholarship. You will also be required to contribute to the administration within the Department. You will have a track record of successfully securing research grants, high-quality research publication and experience in teaching. You will be expected to broaden the Department's research capabilities, while complementing our existing strengths. What we are looking for Full GMC (General Medical Council) registration or eligibility for registration within 6 months of the date of the appointment Appropriate specialist qualification or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the appointment A national/ international reputation and expertise in the field of inflammation or immunology or related area commensurate with the grade An ability to raise significant research funding from a variety of sources, commensurate with your career stage. A proven track record in conducting high quality independent research, as evidenced by high quality publications in peer reviewed journals Experience of supervision of higher degrees (PhD), MD(Res)) Experience of supervising medical staff, if relevant Appropriate level of clinical knowledge, if relevant Understanding of clinical risk management, if relevant Experience of developing skills in leading, motivating, developing and managing the performance of colleagues. An effective communicator, conveying ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to a range of audiences through a variety of methods and media.
