Summary

Salary: Base salary of £28,000 plus Veolia Benefits Package
Location: Derby with regional travel to Birmingham, Northampton, Hickley and Cambridge
Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday
Programme Duration: 2-year programme starting September 2026

Graduate Programme;
Our comprehensive Graduate Programme offers hands-on experience working on strategic projects while developing essential personal and professional skills. What you'll be doing;
As a Graduate Business Manager, you'll develop essential skills across Veolia's commercial operations while building foundational knowledge in waste management and business practices at various operational sites.
- Collaborate on delivering cost-effective, profitable solutions by supporting innovative approaches and implementing positive changes that benefit our customers
- Develop skills in analysing and presenting clear, accurate business performance data and reports to support decision-making
- Build understanding of local market dynamics, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities while working collaboratively across different teams
- Gain hands-on experience implementing efficiency improvements through digital solutions, optimising asset utilisation, and effective cost management
- Champion safety protocols and employee well-being initiatives across all operational activities
- Learn how to identify top talent for the future, drive employee engagement by championing inclusivity in the workplace and promote development opportunities
What we're looking for;
- Degree-level qualification in Business Management or Environmental subject (to be achieved by September 2026)
- Willingness to travel to training locations and potentially (if in a rotational role) relocate for role requirements
- Commitment to continuous learning and development
- Full UK Driving licence
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and confidence in the delivery of presentations.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful and successful relationships
- Good analytical and organisational & project management skills
- Good knowledge of Google/Microsoft products
