Summary
Simman Solicitors, an SQM-accredited law firm based in South Croydon, is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Caseworker (Level 2 IAAS accredited) to join our dedicated team.
We specialise in Immigration Law, providing both legal aid and private services across immigration, asylum, and human rights matters. The successful applicant will play a key role in managing complex cases and delivering high-quality legal representation.
Requirements:
- Must be IAAS Level 2 Senior Caseworker accredited (Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme)
- Must be registered with the Law Society as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker
- Proven experience in publicly funded Immigration Law (LAA work)
- Ability to work independently without supervision
Responsibilities:
- Manage the firm’s LAA Immigration and Asylum cases, including appeals and judicial reviews
- Handle detention and fast-track cases
- Take instructions, prepare cases, and maintain billing and compliance
- Conduct monthly file reviews and ensure quality standards
- Provide excellent client care, particularly in sensitive human rights matters
- Regularly update and manage case information in the LEAP system
- Advocacy experience before the Tribunal is an advantage
