Rate: £400/day (Inside IR35)
Hours: 36 per week | Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:30
Camden Council is seeking an experienced and strategic Project Manager to lead Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects within the Capital Works team. This is a short-term assignment covering long-term sickness, offering a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of M&E projects from inception to handover
Organise and motivate multidisciplinary project teams
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and end-users
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards
Oversee health & safety compliance and CDM implementation
Manage seamless handover to clients and asset management teams
Attend occasional evening and weekend meetings/events
About You
We’re looking for a confident and proactive leader with:
Proven experience in construction project management, especially M&E delivery
Strong understanding of procurement processes and leaseholder management
Familiarity with Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A client/resident-focused, professional approach
A track record of positive resident engagement and service excellence
Ability to anticipate and manage change effectively
Desirable Qualifications
Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
