Summary
I am looking for an experienced English Teacher for a long-term placement in a highly regarded secondary school based in Prescot. This is a vibrant and inclusive 11–18 mixed school with a strong academic focus and a commitment to student success. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging, high-quality English lessons.This role requires someone confident in delivering the English curriculum up to Key Stage 4 (KS4), with the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Planning, preparation and marking will be expected as part of the role, so experience in these areas is essential. Excellent classroom presence, behaviour management and communication skills are key to success in this role. You’ll be joining a supportive and well-resourced department in a school known for its strong pastoral care, modern facilities, and commitment to staff development.
The successful qualified English Teacher will have:
• QTS with English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication skills
