About the role
This position is to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across college facilities, supporting a positive experience for students, staff, and visitors. General Cleaning Duties include:
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
Dust and wipe surfaces, including desks, chairs, windowsills, and doors.
Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and communal areas.
Replenish consumables (toilet paper, soap, hand sanitiser, paper towels).
Clean classrooms, lecture halls, labs, and staff rooms.
Maintain cleanliness in communal spaces such as cafeterias, hallways, and libraries.
Routine & Deep Cleaning.
About the person
Candidates should:
Have good attention to detail
The ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Be reliable and punctual.
Have good understanding of hygiene practices.
Have experience using cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
Be able to follow site-specific safety protocols.
Report any maintenance or safety issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks).
