Summary
360 Driver / Groundworker (Machine Driver)
• Location: Accrington, Lancashire
• Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 4:00pm (hours may vary slightly depending on workload)
• Pay Rate: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (dependent on performance, attendance, and business requirements)
• Start Date: Immediate start available for the right candidate
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated 360 Driver / Groundworker (Machine Driver) to join our client’s team in Accrington. This is a hands-on, outdoor role ideal for individuals who enjoy practical work and want to be part of a supportive, hard-working team. The position offers weekly pay and the potential for a permanent contract depending on performance and business demand.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate 360 excavators and other plant machinery such as diggers and dumpers safely and efficiently
• Carry out a range of groundwork duties including digging, drainage, concreting, and site preparation
• Assist with manual labouring and general site duties as required
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth site operations
• Maintain plant and equipment, reporting any faults or defects promptly
• Adhere to all company and on-site health and safety procedures at all times
Candidate Requirements
• Previous experience in groundworks or a related construction field is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to operate basic construction machinery (e.g., diggers, dumpers) is preferred
• Physically fit with stamina to undertake manual labour tasks
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively on-site
• Valid CPCS, NPORS or equivalent 360 Excavator ticket (proof required)
• Full UK driving licence is beneficial for transport to and from site
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace
