Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Portsmouth Academy is seeking to appoint a proactive and organized Career & Admin Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students' career development and ensuring the smooth running of key school administrative functions. You will take a leading role in planning, coordinating and delivering the school's career advice programme as well as our work experience provision. In addition, you will provide vital administrative and reception support to the Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and deliver the school's career advice and guidance programme
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and manage relationships with external careers and apprenticeship providers
• Coordinate Employer encounters, work experience placements and careers events
• On reception: Act as the first point of contact for parents / carers and visitors
• Clerking for Governors Disciplinary Committee hearings ensuring accurate record-keeping

• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
• Is confident working with students, parents / carers and education partners
• Is detail orientated with strong administrative and IT skills
• Is enthusiastic about supporting young people to achieve their goals
