Summary

Salary: S5 £25,159 – S6 £25,558 (actual £21,901 - £22,248)
Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time / Fixed term until July 2026 / Term Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Friday / 8.30 – 4.30 pm (45-minute unpaid lunch)

The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic Learning Support Mentor to join our Learning Support team. The successful candidate will provide one to one and small group support to student with a range of additional learning needs, including specific learning difficulties, social/emotional needs, and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people as they prepare for higher education, apprenticeships, or employment. Key Responsibilities • Provide tailored support to students with identified learning needs • Assist students in developing effective study skills, organisation and time management • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement and review support plans • Encourage independence, confident and resilience in students’ learning • Maintain accurate records of support and contribute to progress reviews and reports • Support the promotion of an inclusive and supportive learning environment across the College About You • A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best • Experience of working with learners who have additional needs (desirable but not essential) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • A patient, understanding and adaptable approach What We Offer • A supportive and collaborative team environment • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities • Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme • Generous annual leave entitlement and College-wide wellbeing initiatives • Free parking / easy access to local public transport • On-site Costa & Starbucks
