This Primary School in Newham is a warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment committed to supporting every child's development. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teacher to cover maternity leave in their specialist SEN class within the mainstream setting.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEN Teacher to make a meaningful impact in a well-resourced and supportive school. You will:
*Teach and support a small class of pupils with diverse SEN needs, including ASD, speech & language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties
*Deliver creative, differentiated lessons that engage and inspire all learners
*Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to provide targeted support
*Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every child feels safe, respected, and motivated to succeed
*Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, celebrating progress and sharing strategies for success
What you'll need to succeed
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Has experience teaching pupils with special educational needs in either mainstream or specialist settings
*Demonstrates empathy, patience, and creativity in supporting individual learning journeys
*Works well as part of a dedicated team and communicates effectively
*Is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a difference
