To support the delivery of The Plan for North Lanarkshire, an ambitious programme for physical and economic regeneration, we have an opportunity for a Project Development Co-ordinator within the council’s City Deal and Regeneration team in the Place Service.
As a Project Development Co-ordinator, you will have a critical role in supporting the implementation of North Lanarkshire’s Economic Regeneration Delivery Plan (ERDP) with a particular focus on coordinating and delivering the Regeneration Plan for Coatbridge and the 10 Year Investment Plan supported by £19.5m Growth funding from the UK Government. The postholder will take a lead role in supporting the Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board and working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders including public sector partners, community groups and the third sector to deliver the priorities and outcomes set out in the Regeneration Plan. See link for more information on Plans for Neighbourhoods and the Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board - Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board | North Lanarkshire Council
This post also offers an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in developing and coordinating regeneration programmes and projects to work across the City Deal and Regeneration team. The role will support the coordination and delivery of regeneration and infrastructure initiatives and projects across North Lanarkshire in particular town centres, to help promote inclusive growth and create improved socio-economic outcomes for residents, communities and businesses.
You should be educated to SVQ 4, HND or degree level and have significant experience in developing and implementing regeneration strategies, programmes and projects (including developing funding applications, managing consultants and engaging and coordinating a wide range of stakeholders). The successful candidate will also require excellent communication and project management skills, experience of working in partnership and with communities and knowledge of the key issues which underpin successful and sustainable development projects.
You will join the City Deal and Regeneration team based in our headquarters’ office in Motherwell but will operate under our hybrid model of office and home-based working with an expectation to travel to council facilities and sites across North Lanarkshire as required.
