Summary
Administrative Officer - Public Sector (Birmingham City Centre)
£12.53 per hour | Full-time | Temporary (with possible extension)
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm (37 hours per week)
Onsite role - no remote working
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a respected Public Sector organisation based in Birmingham City Centre. We are currently recruiting Administrative Officers to support the delivery of Power of Attorney services.
Successful candidates will be placed in one of several key departments, which include casework, administration, quality assurance, document registration, and contact centre support.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will vary depending on department placement, but may include:
- Preparing, scanning, and inputting documents for case management systems
- Maintaining accurate case records and reporting key metrics
- Checking and dispatching documents with attention to data protection protocols
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Scheduling and reporting customer payments
- Maintaining and organising physical filing systems
- Delivering high standards of customer service and clear communication across all channels
Please note - this role can be very physical. Moving bundles of files between cabinets and different floors etc.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - telephone work may be required
- Experience working in customer-facing environments
Additional Requirements
- A Standard DBS check is required
- Candidates must be able to provide three years of referencing
