Manchester
£50,000 to £55,000 + Overtime + Matched Pension + Benefits Package
Battery Engineer with high voltage experience required by a rapidly expanding battery recycling company.
As a High Voltage Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the technical operations of the recycling processes. You will work both on-site at their Manchester facility and off-site at customer locations. Your responsibilities will span equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation, as well as providing technical solutions to ensure the highest level of service and professionalism in all operations.

The High Voltage Battery Engineer Role:
* System Testing: Conduct thorough testing and validation of high-voltage systems to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
* Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues with high-voltage battery systems, focusing on improving efficiency and reliability.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all systems meet electrical safety standards and regulations.
* Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of high-voltage battery systems into products.
* Technical Support: Provide technical expertise during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
* Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance our battery systems, contributing to process improvements and new product developments.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tests, validations, and system changes, and ensure all work is documented according to industry standards.
The High Voltage Battery Engineer:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Power Systems, or a related field.
* Advanced certifications or a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in high-voltage systems is beneficial but not eseential.
* Experience in high-voltage engineering, particularly in the battery, power electronics, energy storage, or electric vehicle sector.
* Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting of high-voltage systems and components.
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to high-voltage safety such as (IEC, BS EN), ISO45001.
