Summary

Salary:£50,100 - £75,100 + -related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

SSE Renewables is the UK and Irelands clean energy champion with a growing presence internationally in the UK and Ireland, Continental Europe and Japan. SSE Renewables strategy is to lead the transition to a net zero future through the world-class development, construction and operation of renewable power assets. SSE Renewables is part of SSE plc, the UK-listed integrated energy group which is investing £12.5bn over the next five years, or £7m a day, to deliver a Net Zero Acceleration Programme to address climate change head on.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the Renewables Finance team. SSE Renewables has a portfolio of wind sites operated with joint venture partners across UK and Ireland. You will be responsible for all aspects of the operational onshore wind joint venture portfolio across both Financial Control and FP&A. Your deliverables will include accurate reporting of month end, half year and year end numbers; liaising with external audit for statutory deliverables; preparation of management accounts to JV Shareholders and the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle and business plan preparation for the JV boards. The role will involve working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, focusing on establishing best practice in reporting and processes.

You will

  • Delivering accurate month end, half year and year end financials;
  • Monthly management accounts reporting to JV shareholders;
  • Attending monthly management committee meeting and presenting finance updates at quarterly board meetings
  • Co-ordinating the annual budget cycle alongside providing financial inputs for annual business plans
  • Developing strong working relationships with joint venture partners
  • Coaching accountants and finance analyst(s);

You will have

  • A professional accounting qualification with either practice or industry experience and up to date working knowledge of current IFRS accounting standards, allowing you to deliver operational excellence in Finance.
  • Strong analytical thinking, influence and communication skills, allowing you to convey information to a range of senior level stakeholders alongside building strong relationships through trust and respect.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and influencing others through direct and indirect coaching, mentoring and management.
