£29,675 - £30,813 per annum, inclusive of £2,859 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

The postholder will engage in all aspects of storekeeping in accordance with approved procedures and ensuring all stock and materials are accounted for, and invoices are processed for payment. Oversee the monitoring and maintenance of the Fleet Management System for the garage and stores. The postholder will order materials, stock, and any equipment required for all aspects of the Garage Service Trading Operation, as well as other sections such as Roads, Street lighting and Marine Services.

You must have previous experience of overseeing and maintaining a Fleet Management/Stores System or similar, and of working in a busy automotive stores environment, dealing with staff and clients and working with figures. It is essential that you have a current valid driving licence along with a knowledge of the range of vehicles maintained by the Comhairle. The ability to communicate well, orally and in writing is essential along with the ability to work co-operatively as part of a team showing good interpersonal skills.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
