Summary
A respected regional firm is seeking an experienced qualified accountant for an interim engagement supporting a time-sensitive finance project. The role is hands-on and technical, focused on reconciling complex financial data and validating key balances so the finance function can move forward with clarity and confidence. This is a high-profile assignment that will suit someone who enjoys problem solving and working closely with senior stakeholders.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
• Investigating and reconciling complex financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Validating material WIP balances and other key balance sheet items
• Preparing reconciliations and clear working papers for external review and internal sign-off
• Working closely with the finance leadership team and external advisors to resolve issues promptly
• Assisting with ad-hoc analysis and reporting required by the project team
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:
• Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• Strong technical accounting skills, with proven experience in data interrogation, reconciliations or similar finance projects
• Hands-on, methodical approach and meticulous attention to detail
• Comfortable working under pressure with tight deadlines and providing clear, concise outputs for senior stakeholders
• Previous exposure to professional services or complex balance sheet work is advantageous but not essential

• Competitive day rate, inside IR35, £300-350, depending on experience
