Summary
Escape Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Engineer for our client, a leading manufacturer based in West Lothian.
You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, supporting audits, managing calibration systems, and driving continuous improvement to ensure top product quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality standards across production.
- Manage and maintain the calibration system, ensuring gauges are calibrated and traceable.
- Take part in internal and external audits, including AS9100 and customer audits.
- Manage non-conformance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
- Maintain quality documentation, records, and databases to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.
About You
- Experienced Quality Engineer from a manufacturing background
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of AS9100 (or ISO 9001/13485) standards and quality management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Confident communicator, able to work well with cross-functional teams and customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience with Minitab or similar tools is a bonus.
- Able to work full-time on site, Monday to Friday, and occasionally travel for supplier audits.
