Summary
Position: CNC Miller Programmer - Nights
Location: Tamworth
Salary: £40,000 - £52,000 p.a
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour night shift (40 hours per week)
About the Role We’re looking for a CNC Miller to join a precision engineering company producing complex, high-quality components for industries such as aerospace, motorsport, automotive, and oil & gas.
You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines, ensuring all components are manufactured to tight tolerances within a modern, well-equipped workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Program, set and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controls
- Use EdgeCAM or Fusion 360 (other CAM systems considered)
- Adjust offsets, prove programs, and correct machining errors
- Work across multiple machines to meet production and quality targets
- Support continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organised workspace
Requirements
- Apprenticeship-trained or qualified by experience
- Skilled in Heidenhain or Fanuc programming and precision machining
- Experience using CAD/CAM software (EdgeCAM, Fusion 360 or similar)
- Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivated work ethic
