Logistics Manager (225dm) – Bury- Manchester - £40000-£50000 DOE
Here's a great role for those who have worked within the QMS or Unit/Coy/Sqn stores.
As this is a senior position, we are looking for candidates who have managed teams and have a solid understanding of the supply chain and unit Inventory systems.
Ideally, Sgts and above (but will also consider senior Cpls).

Our client is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in Bury.
For over 150 years, they've delivered engineering solutions to some of the nation’s most iconic infrastructure projects — across Defence, Energy, and Transport sectors.
The Role
•Someone who thrives on structure, precision, and mission success.
You’ll coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to production, ensuring the right resources are in the right place at the right time.
•This is a leadership role for someone who can see the bigger picture — managing people, process, and performance to keep the operation moving like clockwork.
Your Mission
•Develop and execute the Master Production Schedule aligned with client and factory requirements
•Lead and develop a team of 5 within the Materials, Planning & Logistics Department
•Take ownership of a new ERP system implementation — improving data flow, forecasting, and performance visibility
•Oversee inbound and outbound raw material control to maintain optimal inventory and flow
•Work closely with manufacturing to align production capacity and delivery deadlines
•Drive efficiency and continuous improvement using Lean principles
What You Bring
•Proven experience in materials planning, logistics, or production scheduling
•Strong leadership and communication — with a calm, decisive approach under pressure
•Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and inventory control tools
•Analytical mindset and confidence to make operational decisions
•Experience mentoring and managing a small team
•Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies
• Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering preferred (CILT certification an advantage). Those with experience in similar roles will also be considered.
