Summary
Link Education are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher for a school based in the Bexleyheath area
The ideal professional we are looking for:
• Experience with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and Severe Learning Difficulties.
• Understanding of TEACCH approach, PECS and Makaton communication methods required.
• A passion for working with young people and their families
• A genuine desire to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in London
• Want to work with like-minded colleagues who put children at the centre of everything they do
• Consider yourself to be patient, compassionate, determined, kind, rigorous and hard-working
• Believe that education is about facilitating academic progress, personal development and life skills in a nurturing, structured environment
• Actively seek out ways to improve your practice
• Want to learn from children, as well as enable them to learn from you
Essential Requirements:
• Knowledge and understanding of special educational needs through experience in the classroom
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
