ASPIRE INDEPENDENT LIVING MANAGER

Location: Hybrid – with UK travel (occasional overnight stays)
Hours: 14 hours per week

“Every two hours, someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury.”
At Aspire, we believe that every single one of those people deserves the chance to rebuild their lives with dignity, choice, and
independence. As a national charity, we provide life-changing practical support — from housing and assistive technology to expert
guidance — helping people move from injury to independence.

Our Independent Living Service is at the heart of that mission. Each year, our team of dedicated Advisors supports around 600
injured people across the UK, working within NHS spinal injury centres to offer advice and advocacy.

We’re now looking for a compassionate, motivated, and organised leader to manage this vital service and the national team behind
it.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Aspire’s Independent Living Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Independent Living Service.
You’ll:

* Lead, support and inspire a passionate team of Advisors based in specialist hospitals across the UK.

* Ensure the service meets its goals — planning budgets, setting targets, and driving continuous improvement.

* Build and nurture partnerships with NHS staff and other organisations to expand our reach and impact.

* Champion innovation and best practice, helping Advisors develop their knowledge and skills to provide outstanding support.

This is a role with real purpose: every decision you make will directly influence the quality of life and future opportunities for
people adjusting to spinal cord injury.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is an excellent organiser, communicator, and relationship-builder.

* Enjoys leading and developing a remote team.

* Can manage budgets, plan strategically, and think creatively about service delivery.

* Brings empathy, confidence, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

Experience of delivering or managing a support service is an advantage — but more important is your passion, leadership, and
determination to help others succeed.

WHY JOIN US?

At Aspire, you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team making a big impact. You’ll work flexibly, lead with purpose, and see the
tangible results of your work every day — knowing you’ve helped someone take their next step towards independence.

How to apply:
Please send your CV and a cover letter explaining how you meet the requirements of the role. (Please note: we will not accept
AI-generated cover letters.)
