Trust Estates and Facilities – Caretaking and Maintenance Site Assistant
Start date as soon as possible
Fulltime, permanent position, 37 hours per week, full year.
NJC range points 7 - 11 £26,403 - £28,142.
This position carries an annual leave allocation of 25 days plus public holidays rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service (annual leave entitlement to be taken in the school holidays).
Hours:
12.00 noon to 8.00 pm Monday and Thursday (30 min lunch break)
10.00 am to 6.00 pm Tuesday and Wednesday (30 min lunch break)
10.00 am to 17.30 pm Friday (with 30 min lunch break)
Some flexibility in these hours may be required.
Progression is subject to annual performance management.
Reporting to the Trust Estates, Facilities and IT Infrastructure Lead.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Caretaking and Maintenance Site Assistant to an experienced team at Lacon Childe School. The site services team has responsibility for the buildings, grounds, site security as well as health and safety of all personnel on site and all operational matters.
The School is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and well organised individual to join our Trust Estates and Facilities Team.
This post will require excellent communication, extensive maintenance experience, organisational and IT skills. Experience of working in an organisational maintenance position and having health and safety knowledge and understanding is essential. Experience in schools and a qualification in NPTC in land based machinery or equivalent would be beneficial as would a qualification in basic plumbing or electrical site maintenance but not essential.
