Kingsway Park High School, part of the Altus Education Partnership, is seeking a highly motivated and inspiring Lead Practitioner of Literacy to join our vibrant, inclusive, and diverse community.

The Role
As Lead Practitioner of Literacy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning experience across the English Department and beyond. You will:

  • Work with the Head of English to drive outstanding teaching and learning in Literacy.
  • Lead on intervention strategies to maximise student achievement.
  • Support and develop colleagues through coaching, CPD, and resource development.
  • Inspire students to achieve their very best, raising aspirations and removing barriers to learning.
  • Contribute to whole-school priorities, making a meaningful impact across the curriculum.

About You
We are looking for a passionate educator with:

  • A high-quality degree in Literacy/English and QTS/QTLS.
  • A proven track record of innovative and successful teaching.
  • The ability to inspire students and colleagues alike through exceptional classroom practice.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to professional growth.
  • A genuine belief in the potential of every young person.
