Summary
Join Vibra Energy’s technical team to build and run test rigs, bench-test and diagnose solar PV modules, inverters, and monitoring hardware, and produce clear QA reports that keep systems safe and reliable.
What you’ll do
Set up and operate PV/inverter test rigs; carry out functional, performance and safety tests (e.g., insulation resistance, I-V curve, 62446-1 checks).
Calibrate instruments; maintain test records and traceability.
Support commissioning checklists (non-notifiable tasks), remote monitoring set-up, and defect investigation.
Produce clear test reports, QA documentation and handover packs to MCS/BS/EN standards.
Collaborate with engineers on continuous improvement of test procedures.
What you’ll bring
Level 3 (NVQ3/HNC) in Electrical/Electronic discipline (or equivalent experience).
Hands-on experience testing inverters/PV or similar power electronics.
Confident with test kit (multimeter, insulation tester, clamp meter; I-V tracer a plus).
Working knowledge of BS EN 62446-1, basic BS 7671 principles, and safe systems of work.
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Nice to have
Familiarity with G98/G99 functional checks, DNO notifications (awareness level).
MCS/MIS documentation exposure; ECS/CSCS card; full UK driving licence.
