The Falkirk Health and Social care Partnership have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Handy Person/Gardner to join our Care Home Services. Driving is also essential for the post. Working within the partnership you will be Falkirk Council employed and a valued member of an integrated team.

As a handyperson you will be motivated and enthusiastic. You will be expected to carryout general internal and external building and garden maintenance, basic DIY Tasks, equipment maintenance and transportation of service users. You will also be required to complete documentation related to these activities. We expect our handyman to maintain the home in line with Health and Safety and National Infection and Protection Manual guidelines. Previous experience in a handyperson role is desirable but is not essential. You should have a positive attitude, be passionate, organised, and flexible. You will work alongside an established staff team, including seniors, social care workers, as you will be working within the care home, you will be required to always treat others with dignity and respect.

You will work on a casual basis with cover required Monday – Friday. Weekends may also be included.

Driving Licence is essential.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
