Summary
WorkwithYorkshire are partnering with a client who have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join their Family Law team based in York. This is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday from the York office.
Duties:
Supporting Family Fee Earners by providing secretarial and administrative assistance to help with the smooth management of client matters
Preparing correspondence, including legal document and court forms from audio dictation
Preparing bundles for court
Dealing with identification documents and understanding AML procedures
Keeping clients updated with an efficient and polite approach throughout the process
Ensuring all client personal information is recorded accurately in the case management system
Schedule appointments and meetings with clients.
Answering the phone and assisting clients and other callers.
Key skills and experience:
Minimum of 2 years previous experience of working in Family Law
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and legal case management system
