We are looking for someone to fulfil the role of Independent Living Advisor (ILA) based at The Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries
(MCSI) in Oswestry. The role involves making personal contact with patients, offering them appropriate advice and supporting
activities that encourage independence and promote Aspire’s services, and building links with the Centre’s staff.
You will need to be an excellent communicator, well organised and comfortable working on your own initiative. In addition to
visiting the Centre once a week, you will be expected to complete reports and additional administrative tasks. Ongoing training
and support will be provided.
Suitable candidates for the role will be spinally injured themselves and be able to provide first-hand peer support to patients.
This job is available under Supported Permitted Work rules and the successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS check.
This role is part time, 9 hours a week.
