The Governors of Ysgol Gynradd Rhyd Y Grug are seeking applications from suitably qualified teachers to work in our LRB class. An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required to work with primary age pupils with complex needs / autistic spectrum disorder / communication difficulties.
The successful candidate will:
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a knowledge and understanding of ASD/complex needs and with at least 2 years’ experience of working in a teaching capacity within a Primary school.
• Be caring, positive and make our children’s learning fun and enjoyable
• Be highly motivated and hold high expectations of our children’s wellbeing, achievements, and attitudes to learning
• Be able to work as part of a committed hard-working team.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents, the Governing Body and the wider community.
• Experience of planning for and teaching children with Additional Learning Needs, learning and social communication.
• Fluency in both Welsh and English.
A relevant qualification in the field of additional learning needs would be an advantage. A candidate without an additional learning needs qualifications that has a desire to work with ASD/complex needs pupils, would be required, if appointed, to give an understanding to follow an appropriate course of training, whenever the LA could make the necessary arrangements.
