Summary

You will:Lead safeguarding investigations, taking accurate statements and handling disclosures sensitively.Liaise with students, staff, families, and external agencies to manage cases effectively. Produce detailed investigation reports and maintain accurate records. Provide ongoing welfare checks and well-being support for students. Represent safeguarding at Mental Health Support Plan meetings and multi-agency forums. Deliver advice, guidance, and safeguarding training to staff. Contribute to the smooth running of the Support Hub, promoting continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for: Level 3 Safeguarding qualification (can be provided). At least 3 years’ experience in safeguarding/child protection or a related field (youth work, social services, counselling, youth justice, etc). Knowledge of safeguarding legislation, referral systems, and best practice. Strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to flexible working hours if required. Level 2 English, Maths, and ICT (or willingness to achieve).
