Line Manager: Assistant Headteacher Behaviour & Culture
Hours: 35 hours per week, 8am until 3.30pm Monday to Friday (30 minute unpaid lunch). Term time plus 5 additional days.
Job Purpose: The Student Support Assistant will provide a welcoming and professional reception service, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, students, and the wider public. Beyond this, the role will support students across the school by promoting positive behaviour, attendance, and engagement under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher Behaviour & Culture. The postholder will help students overcome barriers to learning, offering guidance and support to those experiencing behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, enabling them to achieve their full potential. The role will also involve acting as a First Aider, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and providing administrative support in line with the school’s behaviour management policies. By delivering targeted interventions, the Student Support Assistant will contribute to improving student progress, attainment, and overall wellbeing.
