Summary
Nursery Practitioner – Early Years Educator | Wimbledon
Salary: Up to £30,000
Our client, a welcoming day nursery in Wimbledon, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or above in Early Years) to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education who loves stories, play, and creating magical learning experiences for children.
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children’s development, ensuring they receive the very best care and engaging, age-appropriate learning opportunities. Whether it’s sparking imaginations through storytelling, planning exciting activities, or supporting the wider nursery team, you’ll be making a genuine difference every day.
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience as a Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator
- Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
- A nurturing, approachable personality with strong communication skills
- Passion for creating inspiring learning experiences and supporting children’s development

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support for children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and happiness
- Take on key carer responsibilities for designated children, building strong and positive relationships with families
- Deliver stimulating activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and learning in line with EYFS requirements
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that celebrates every child’s individuality
- Prepare and set up engaging play and learning experiences
- Step up to support the Team/Room Leader when required to ensure smooth day-to-day running
- Guide and mentor students or less experienced staff to maintain excellent standards of practice
