Summary
Join NCHA as a Support Worker or a Care Assistant at our Mansfield, Ashfield, Chesterfield and Newark services. You will need a valid manual driving licence and access to a car as part of our Supported Living and Community Outreach team. Part-Time and Full-Time roles considered, and the role offered will depend on your skills and experience.

The Services
Our Supported Living and Community Outreach services in Mansfield, Ashfield, Chesterfield and Newark offer support to individuals with complex and challenging needs including mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. We support individuals within their own flats or within our one / three / four-bed supported living service.
We have roles available in our 24 hours supported living services for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, as well as an open chair in our 12-hour service supporting individuals with mental health needs.
The Role
Your role will involve helping service users to integrate into the community and enabling them to participate in leisure activities across Mansfield, Ashfield, Chesterfield and Newark services. You may help with day to day needs such as shopping, appointments, finances, medication and meal preparation. Whilst undertaking these duties, you will demonstrate an understanding towards individuals with varying levels of support needs and accommodate these needs where possible. Please note that due to the needs of our service users, there may be elements of moving and handling, risk management and physical intervention involved in the role as well as personal care. If you don’t meet the Support Worker criteria, you may be offered a Care Assistant role to build your skills through training.
Other Requirements: A valid manual driving licence, access to a car and business insurance.

Working Hours
All successful candidates will be required to work on a rota basis over a 24-hour period including weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins; a bonus is paid for waking nights and an allowance is paid for sleep-ins.
