Join DWP's Children Analytics Data Service (ChADS) as a Senior Business Analyst, leading analysis on complex, data-driven products that improve outcomes for children through effective child maintenance arrangements. You'll work at the heart of a data and insight-led team, shaping solutions that support strategic decision-making and drive operational improvements.
You'll collaborate with product teams, MI specialists, and data designers to gather requirements and solve real user problems. With a strong foundation in data analysis, excellent communication skills, and a passion for Agile delivery, you'll thrive in a fast-paced, user-focused environment.
As a senior figure in our 250+ BA community, you'll lead initiatives, mentor colleagues, and champion continuous learning. You'll also support recruitment and capability building, helping set standards and promote best practices across the Business Analysis function.
You and your role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll take the lead on business analysis activities within your project areas, using your expertise to drive improvements and deliver real value.
You'll select the right tools and techniques to identify opportunities for change and make informed recommendations. You'll work closely with senior technical and business stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on requirements and acceptance criteria.
The scale and impact of your work will be significant. You'll contribute to large, complex products or services, sometimes working across several areas at once. You'll collaborate within agile, multidisciplinary teams, all focused on delivering excellent outcomes for DWP's users.
You'll facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to turn business and user needs into effective solutions. You'll also mentor junior BAs, develop your leadership skills, and help shape the future of our BA community-including supporting recruitment as we grow.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hub in Newcastle.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £68,205.
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
