Summary
An opportunity has arisen for a band 4 post to join our vibrant, diverse team of Mental Act Administrators. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, discretion and an eye for detail to work alongside experienced staff within our mental health act office in the Lakeside Mental Health Unit. This is a valuable opportunity for someone who wants to use their administrative skills while making an important contribution to patient care.
You will need a willingness to learn about the mental health act and other mental health law with some relevant administrative experience in a busy environment and a genuine interest in acquiring further knowledge through on the job training. Though based in Lakeside, to meet the needs of the service, we are looking for someone who is willing to provide occasional cover for colleagues in any of our three London boroughs
Ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient filing systems, including both paper and computerised systems ensuring strict confidentiality of identifiable information
To provide an accessible point of reference and advice to patients and staff in relation to the Mental Health Act and associated legislation
Maintain appropriate liaison with allied professionals including all internal and external agencies to ensure the Mental Health Act requirements are complied with.
Arrange Mental Health Tribunals and Associate Hospital Managers hearings, requesting reports, organising representation for the patient and booking venues
To use your own initiative to manage and prioritise workload.
