Your Role – Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant

In this role, you will:

• Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, particularly in Maths, English, and Science

  
  

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils progress academically and boost their confidence

  
  

• Assist with lesson preparation, behaviour management, and day-to-day classroom organisation

  
  

• Offer tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  
  

• Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  
  

• Build essential experience for future teacher training or further study in education

  
  Who We’re Looking For

  This opportunity is ideal for graduates who:

  • Hold (or are predicted) a 2:1 degree or above in a core subject, such as Maths, English, or Science

    
    

  • Are passionate about education and enthusiastic about supporting young people

    
    

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills

    
    

  • Are proactive, reliable, and committed to their professional development

    
    

  • Can commit to full-time work from October 2025 to July 2026

    
    

  • Have some experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, coaching), although this is not essential
