Summary

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an ICT Technical Analyst to join our busy ICT Shared Service team which covers Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells Borough Councils.

In this role you will be working to an ITIL framework to respond to logged calls and provide frontline support to users across the three authorities of the shared service. You will work to diagnose and resolve ICT faults and problems, communicating effectively with the customer and recording in a time manner.

This position is full time working 37 hours per week on a fixed term contract for 12 months commencing in December 2025, to cover a period of maternity leave. You may be required to travel to Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and/or Sittingbourne to attend the offices of the shared service as required. There is also the scope for some hybrid working under the Council’s hybrid working arrangements, dependant on the needs of the service.

About You:

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. You will have experience of working on an IT Service Desk providing 1st and 2nd line support to users in a Windows environment and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products.

The Council considers this to be a customer focused role and the ability to converse at ease with customers adapting communication style to suit differing audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English is fundamental to the role.
