Summary
People Administrator
Our client is seeking a proactive and organisedPart-Time People Administratorto provide comprehensive administrative support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring the smooth running of HR operations and a positive employee experience. The role involves maintaining accurate records, coordinating HR processes, and supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR needs.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support:
- Assist with organising recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and liaising with candidates, under guidance from the Recruitment Manager.
Onboarding & Induction:
- Organise and coordinate inductions for new starters.
- Carry out onboarding administration, including pre-employment checks, references and documentation.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new starters during their probation period.
- Liaise with Line Managers to arrange probation check-ins and prepare relevant probation letters.
Employee Lifecycle & Records Management:
- Ensure the HR system is kept accurate and up to date with employee information.
- Process leavers and prepare all associated documentation.
- Draft and issue formal HR correspondence (e.g. confirmation letters, probation and exit letters).
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures as required.
Attendance & Performance Support:
- Produce and distribute weekly attendance reports.
- Liaise with Managers to schedule attendance review meetings.
- Provide support with employee relations processes, including notetaking during meetings.
Employee Engagement, Communication & Events:
- Organise and coordinate employee engagement surveys.
- Support with preparing quarterly business updates and monthly team briefs.
- Support Line Managers with arranging and coordinating employee training.
Health & Safety Administration:
- Assist with maintaining Health and Safety records, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Support the People Development Manager in preparing for audits.
- Track and follow up on outstanding Health and Safety actions.
- Provide general administrative support for Health and Safety initiatives to ensure compliance.
What Characteristics Are They Looking For?
Essential:
- Proven experience working in an HR role.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with a flexible attitude.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with HR systems or databases.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience in drafting formal letters and documentation.
- Confidence in taking minutes or notes during meetings.
- Experience in supporting HR projects, events, or engagement initiatives.
