Summary
Manage and deliver nurse led clinics providing expert care to patients with endocrine complicationsto improve day-to-day quality of life and minimise risk of future complications Managing and assessing patients for Hormone replacement including GH replacements runningnurse led clinics. To review endocrine patients within the Programmed Investigation Unit Ordering diagnostic tests. Making to and receiving referrals from other health care providers. Admitting and discharging patients with specified conditions within agreed protocols. To attend and manage the endocrine outpatient clinics, ensuring nurse consultation with newlydiagnosed patients. To work with the MDT to develop, implement and evaluate integrated care pathways. To be actively involved with the inpatient holistic care, liaising with the ward staff and PIU staff toensure high quality nursing care are provided and conduct teaching sessions on the wards-Unit. To regularly review those clinical notes of patients requiring imminent admission, ensuring allassessments, diagnostic investigations and test results are up to date and in place to ensure a smoothadmission. To participate in relevant for a at Directorate, Trust, Cancer Network and National, International levelto represent the services.
